Great news - though I may be late!
When I went to Warped Tour a few weeks ago, I went over to the Dropkick Murphy's tent and they were telling me about the new GIVE 'EM THE BOOT DVD from Hellcat that is going to be released next week. I've been waiting for something on the Hellcat bands and it's finally here. Its supposed to have lots of live performances by bands like Rancid, Transplants, Horrorpops, Tiger Army, and a lot more. Joe Strummer and Iggy Pop are on it too...plus all the Hellcat bands. By far this will be one of the best music DVD release all year!

3:55PM - 20 Good Charlotte icons

I've been working on these all weekend, so there's a bunch of them. I've gotten a ton of really high quality Good Charlotte pics lately, so I might be making a lot of them. I also saved a bunch of light textures today, so I'm gonna have some fun with those. :D

Teasers: 5. a man and his guitar it's a beatiful thing 19. all of our sins are simple

( Wanna see a fake cut? )

6:27PM - Oh! Intro!

Hey! I liked to be called Admiral Sid, Admiral, Sid or Strings while I'm online. I'm 15 years old, sometimes I act like it, sometimes I don't. I'm a girl and I live in my head.

I've been a Good Charlotte fan for about five years now...I first heard them when I was listening to the radio and cleaning my room back in sixth grade or so. I found this community by surfing around.

I'm sarcastic 98% of the time. I'm wild, loud and extremely outgoing around my friends, but I'm a schitzoid when I'm not with them. I have paranoia. I'm highly opinionated and I seldom let my thoughts go unheard.

I am a fan of all Good Charlotte stuff, new and old (including demos and whatnot). As of right now, what's in my CD player is Good Charlotte Self-Titled. That's about it I guess.

I do own my own community, fuct_up_gc_kids, so feel free to check it out.

Hey, my name's Jackie, I'm 13. I first heard/saw GC in 5th grade. I was at my friends house and we turned on MTV and there was the old man throwing a milkshake at the window of a car. I was hooked. That video did a lot for me. I got the first GC CD for Christmad that year. I loved Joel at the time. The second CD came out, and my best friend got it for me for my 13th birthday, going into 8th grade. I don't know why I didn't get it sooner, I just didn't think about it.

So I've been a fan of GC for over 3 years. I have both DVDs that they've released, and all three CDs. GC started alot for me. If I hadn't got into the whole punk-pop thing, I would never have heard of Simple Plan and Green Day and The Killers and Jet and MEST and Blink 182 and Linkin Park and The Used and all the rest of my favorite bands.

Sometimes I miss the GC when Benji had 'the patch' and Joel wore white wifebeaters and jeans ALL the time. When Billy had the blonde shag and such, and Paul looked like a giant teddy bear. Wait- he still does! :D

I love GC now, don't get me wrong. And I know bands go through phases and stuff. I know I can't bring back the past, but I can look forward to the future, right?

5:03AM - Delete this if need be. I thought it was semi-related...

Yesterday was the worst day in Maryland rock history.
At 11:55 AM, the legendary HFS was changed into a Spanish dance music station. The legacy of Maryland's rock has been transformed and destroyed forever.
In case you didn't know, it was the 1998 HFStival that Good Charlotte received their first big break. From their performance on the local's only stage, only wonderful things began to happen for them.
If it weren't for the HFStival, we might have never known them.
As a listener and supporter of WHFS for over ten years, I implore you to attempt to revive what gave the Maryland local music scene the love and respect that it deserved. Fight for the music.
Bring Back HFS Petition
I'm sorry if this post was not allowed, but I am only trying to spread this message to all those who have ever had respect for something we all know and love: the beginning of Good Charlotte and the spread of local music. Delete it, if you need to.
Thank you for your time.

7:28PM - greetings

hey all!

im sarah, i live in London and i first heard about GC about 3 years ago, and i will admit that at first i only looked them coz i thaught joel was damn sexy, nut them i heard their first and secon album and thaught "yeah this sounds good!" and so my obsession began, i think their first and lastest albums are the best, it shows how GC have progressed and moved on from their first music and i think the songs on the first album are more honest because back then they didnt have all the preassures of fame and their lstest album shows how much they've grown, and i love the song "i just wanna live" it sounds kinda disco but i love it!

and oh im 17

1:28AM - I'm new....

Hello, I'm new. My name is Mary Cate and I liked GC for a few years. My cousin Caiti got my into them, I belive their old stuff is definatley the best though. Well I'm happy to join a community where I can talk about good music. I don't totally hate their newer stuff, I jjust think it wasn't their best, I think they used Young and Hopeless to take up their free time.

2:49PM - It came back.

Hi. I'm Sony. At one time, you might have known me as chewonglass, but I left because I pissed myself off with something I said on here before. Yeah, I'm lame. No matter! I'll just state the goods again:
I've been a fan since HFStival 1998 (May 16, wench!) and I miss the old stuff (ticky ticky, man!), but I'm sure all of us do, otherwise we wouldn't be here. I'm 18 and I live in a little white trash town in MD known as Catonsville. If you need to know anymore, you know what to do.

10:14AM - Rock Against Bush

Dear Punk America,

Our friends at Fat Wreck Chords and PunkVoter.com have created a CD
compilation with the biggest names in punk rock-- "Rock Against Bush
Vol. 1" -- which went on sale last week (April 20th).

It features original tracks from top bands like Offspring, Ministry,
NOFX, and Social Distortion, and was an instant big seller. However,
major retailers are already stripping the CD off their shelves in
response to heavy political pressure. There are a lot of people who
would rather see this album buried -- but we’re not going to let that

If Fat Wreck can sell enough CD’s this week to get Rock Against Bush
in the top 40, the headlines and exposure will ensure the CD stays on
the shelves and on the air. The rankings are weekly, and this week is
their best shot. They’re almost there, but to make the cut they will
need an infusion of sales *this weekend*. That’s where we come in.

You can go to Fat Wreck to order your copy of
Rock Against Bush Vol. 1 for just $6.

Fat Wreck is donating 100% of the proceeds to progressive
organizations. And for every CD purchased through Click Back America,
$1 extra goes to support the MoveOn.org Voter Fund.

Here’s more information about the CD:

The "Rock Against Bush Vol. 1" features 26 of the most influential
rock bands in America right now uniting mainstream and underground
rock to speak out against the Bush Administration. It includes bands
like Offspring, Ministry, NOFX, Social Distortion, Pennywise,
Descendents, The Ataris, and many more.

This CD aims to inspire and enrage the young Punkvoter.com audience
and comes packaged with a bonus DVD that includes tons of factual
information and several music videos. It also includes short versions
of the documentaries "Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War"
and "Unprecedented," and even the five winning commercials from
MoveOn Voter Fund's Bush in 30 Seconds campaign.

This compilation is supported by PunkVoter.com, a voter education
organization made up of over 200 of the largest punk bands in the
country including Green Day, Offspring, Less Than Jake, Bad Religion,
and Pennywise. For more information go to:

Go to Fat Wreak to order your copy today.
